Marina XENOFONTOS
Marina Xenofontos est née en 1988 à Limassol (Chypre), elle travaille entre Athènes et Paris. Sculptrice à la pratique multiple, elle utilise aussi bien la peinture, la photographie et la video dans ses installations. Elle est un des trois membres fondateurs du collectif et de l’artist-run space Neoterismoi Toumazou. Parmi ses expositions personnelles les plus récentes, on peut noter « I heard that there are many things in life that we can go beyond » à La Plage (2022), « But we’ve met before » à Hot Wheels, Athènes (2020/21), « I don’t Sleep, I dream », à The Island Club (2021). Et parmi ses expositions collectives, Phenomenon Biennale 4 (2022), Leghaus Leihaus, à Scheusal (2022), « Work and Leisure » à Sala Imparti (2022), « The Terrorisers » chez Ermes Ermes (2021), « I Got Up », chez gb Agency (2021) et « Antistructure » à la Deste Foundation (2021). Marina a été récemment récompensée par the Emerging Artist Prize by Camden art Center pour sa présentation à Frieze London 2022 avec la galerie Hot Wheels (Athènes).
Marina Xenofontos was born in 1988 in Limassol, Cyprus, she works between Athens, Greece and Paris. She is as sculptor working through installation, painting, photography and video, and was one of the three members of the collective and artist-run space Neoterismoi Toumazou. Recent solo shows include, I heard that there are many things in life that we can go beyond, at La Plage (2022), But we’ve met before, at Hot Wheels Athens (2020/21), I Don’t Sleep, I Dream, at The Island Club (2021).
