Anna Jermolaewa
Anna Jermolaewa est une photographe et cinéaste russe. Diplômée en histoire de l’art de l’Université de Vienne en 1998, elle a intégré la classe de nouveaux médias de Peter Kogler à l’Académie des beaux-arts de Vienne en 2002. Depuis 2019, elle est professeure de design expérimental à l’Université d’art et de design de Linz, en Autriche.
Tout au long de sa carrière, Jermolaewa a développé une pratique artistique ancrée dans les concepts
et l’installation, utilisant de multiples médias pour explorer les questions sociales et politiques, l’interaction entre l’humour et le sérieux dans la vie humaine, et la poétique de l’existence quotidienne.
Anna Jermolaewa a représenté l’Autriche à la Biennale de Venise 2024. Son travail a d’abord été exposé au Rupertinum de Salzbourg (Autriche, 2023) ; au Schlossmuseum de Linz (Autriche, 2022) ; au MAK de Vienne (Autriche, 2022) ; à la Galerie nationale d’art Zacheta (Varsovie, 2015) ; à la Camera Austria (Graz, 2012) ; à la Kunsthalle de Krems (2012) ; à l’Institut d’art contemporain de Sofia (2011) ; au Kunstverein (Friedrichshafen, 2009)
; à la XL Gallery (Moscou, 2008) et
au Museum Moderner Kunst (Passau, 2004).
Ses œuvres font partie de diverses collections, dont le Stedelijk Museum, la Friedrich Christian Flick Collection, le Museum of Contemporary
Art Kiasma, le MUMOK-Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig,

Oksana est diplômée de l’École
des Arts et de la Culture d’Odessa (2005) en ballet et enseignement
de la chorégraphie. Peu après, elle a rejoint la troupe du Théâtre national académique d’opéra et de ballet d’Odessa. Sur la plus grande scène d’Odessa, ainsi qu’en tournée en Europe et en Asie, Oksana a dansé dans de nombreuses productions, notamment en tant que soliste dans Don Quichotte, Le Lac des cygnes, Carmen, La Belle au bois dormant, Giselle, La Bayadère, L’Oiseau de feu et Carmina Burana.
En 2014, enceinte de son premier enfant, Oksana a quitté la troupe et s’est installée à Tcherkassy. L’année suivante, elle a ouvert une école de ballet classique. Celle-ci comptait
près d’une centaine d’élèves et a développé un répertoire composé
de Casse-Noisette, La Belle au bois dormant, Poucette et Cadeaux de Noël, interprétés sur la scène de l’Orchestre philharmonique régional de Tcherkassy tous les six mois. Malgré son succès, l’école a été contrainte
de fermer le 24 février 2022, jour de l’invasion de l’Ukraine par la Russie.
Anna Jermolaewa was born in 1970
in Leningrad and is currently based in Vienna. She graduated with a degree in Art History from the University
of Vienna (1998) and from the New Media class of Peter Kogler at the Vienna Academy of Fine Art (2002). She served as Professor for Media Art at the University of Arts and Design, Karlsruhe, Germany from 2005
to 2011, and since 2018 has been Professor for Experimental Design at the University of Art and Design Linz, Austria.
Throughout her career, Jermolaewa has developed an artistic practice rooted in concepts and installation, employing multiple media to explore social and political issues, the interplay of humor and seriousness in human life, and the poetics of everyday existence.
She has held solo exhibitions at Padiglione Austria, LX. Oksana Serheieva is a Ukrainian ballet dancer and choreographer based in Puchberg, Austria.
In 2005, she graduated from the Odessa School of Arts and Culture, where she studied ballet and choreography teaching. Soon after, she joined the troupe at the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. On Odessa’s largest stage, as well as on tours across Europe and Asia, Oksana danced in numerous productions, including solo roles in Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Carmen Suite, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, La Bayadère, Firebird, and Carmina Burana.
In 2014, expecting her first child,
she left the troupe and moved to Cherkasy. The following year, she opened a classical ballet school, which grew to nearly one hundred students and developed a repertoire including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Thumbelina, and Gifts for Christmas, performed every six months at the Cherkasy Regional Philharmonic. The school was successful—students
also participated in national and international competitions, earning several prizes—but it was forced to close on February 24, 2022, the day of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
