Founded in February 2019, Portes ouvertes sur l'art is a non-profit organisation, according to the law of I July 1901.

Its members are volunteers; the association receives no public subsidies.

It is financed entirely by its partners and friends.

Being a general interest association, the association can issue tax certificates allowing a deduction of 66% of the sum donated, for up to 20% of imposable income.
