Membre fondatrice de l'association Portes ouvertes sur l'art, elle intervient comme co-commissaire de l’exposition Où est la maison de mon ami ? à la maison des arts - centre d'art contemporain de Malakoff, en 2019.
Dunia Al Dahan est née à Damas en 1979. Après des études aux Beaux-Arts et à l’Institut supérieur de théâtre de Damas, elle entre à l’Institut national d’administration et commence une carrière de haut fonctionnaire auprès du conseil du gouvernement. C’est dans ce cadre qu’elle est amenée à superviser les événements de Damas, Ville culturelle du monde arabe, entre 2007 et 2008. Partie pour Beyrouth en 2013, elle s’installe en France en 2014. Depuis, elle collabore avec des associations humanitaires et, parallèlement, elle mène une recherche doctorale sur le thème des archives pendant le conflit syrien à Paris-Est et à l’EHESS.

Dunia Al Dahan was born in Damascus in 1979. After studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts in Damascus, she enrolled in the National Institute of Administration, embarking on a career as a senior civil servant with the Government Council. In that capacity, she supervised the events of the Damascus, Cultural Capital of the Arab World festival, that was held in 2007 and 2008. She left for Beirut in 2013 and settled in France in 2014. Since then she has collaborated with humanitarian associations; she is also doing doctoral research on the archives of the Syrian conflict at Paris-Est and the EHESS
